The danger Hamas poses to the world

As a proud Canadian, I wholeheartedly support the Canadian Armed Forces in its struggle against the radical Islamist terrorist Taliban organization.

As a North American, I pledge my full support to the United States Army in its ongoing struggle against Al-Qaeda, another radical Islamist terrorist group, and its various offshoots worldwide.

As an honourary member of the Commonwealth of Nations, I applaud the efforts of the British and Australians in their struggle against radical Islamist fundamentalists who have made it their mission to destroy the value systems of liberty, human rights, dignity and tolerance that we herald in Western civilization.

As a friend and supporter of democratic India, I commend the country’s armed forces for their resolve in battling radical Islamist forces, the devastating effects of which the world witnessed with the heinous attacks against civilians in Mumbai.

As a citizen of the world, I fully support and stand behind Israel in its war against Hamas – a war that Israel did not start, but which was imposed on it – a group that is yet another incarnation of radical Islamist terrorism.

Israel has finally said “no” to eight years of Hamas attacks comprising more than 12,000 missiles and rockets on its civilian population, on children going to school, on farmers working in the fields, on families sitting in their homes, on individuals attending religious services, on people enjoying an afternoon in the playground or at the shopping mall.
Hamas is a terrorist organization engaged in terrorist acts. There are 900,000 Israeli residents who are currently under immediate threat.

Israelis who engaged in the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza, without taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its civilians, must now regrettably correct this major oversight.

Rockets falling on Ashdod, Ashkelon, Be’er Sheva, and Kibbutz Aza are all a prelude to what awaits all of Israel if Hamas is not stopped effectively. My fellow citizens of the world are also all at risk if Hamas is not defeated. It may seem now that the war is taking place in a far-off land, but if we are to do nothing, the day will come when there will be another Mumbai, another 9/11, and this next time at our own doorstep.

To Israel’s credit and especially its army’s, after the shock-and-awe attack of more than 500 air assaults, it should be clear that these assaults were meant to dismember Hamas and were not an attack on the Palestinian people. Logic dictates that a military force conducting air, sea and ground attacks could have easily decimated the civilian population in the area. Instead, Israel has sought out very carefully to locate the vast infrastructure of the Hamas terrorists and the terrorists themselves. Sadly, civilian lives were lost because Hamas has a tendency to hide behind women, children and even place rockets in or near mosques. The blame must be put squarely on Hamas for endangering innocent Palestinians.

The lies regarding the lack of humanitarian care, the lies regarding Israel’s random killing, the lies keep mounting, along with apologist statements for Hamas. But we are fortunate that there are more and more elements within our global society that are prepared to take a longer view and not trigger what in the past was an almost reflexive knee-jerk reaction in support of what has become known as the “victimized” Palestinian versus the “evil” Israeli. Citizens of western societies are slowly waking up to the dangers posed by radical Islamist fundamentalists and are more attuned than ever to their tactics.

Israel has now demonstrated that it has the ability and resolve to move effectively against terrorism. All political parties in Israel, from right to left, have finally come together in unison, determined to defend its citizens against the ongoing incessant onslaught of Hamas terrorism. Bibi Netanyahu, who is running for the position of prime minister, has put aside his own ambitions and has acquiesced to the government’s request that he act as its spokesperson throughout the world. President Shimon Peres, the leading dove in Israel, fully supports this defensive war.

The Egyptians have made it abundantly clear that they too see Hamas as the aggressor, as indeed have so many other Arab countries. At the end of this military exercise, it is imperative that Abu Mazen, the elected leader of the Palestinian Authority who was thrown out of Gaza by Hamas, come back to Gaza and take back the leadership role he has abdicated. He must play a pivotal role in establishing stability for his people. The job is great, but so too are the opportunities.

He must ensure that every tunnel used for smuggling rockets and missiles is blown up and every member of Hamas is properly tried in a fair court of law for being a member of a terrorist organization. Once law is re-established, perhaps we will begin to see a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow for the Palestinian people, while at the same time ensuring the safety and security of the Israeli population.

Nothing will change until the Arab/Muslim world stops hating and wishing for the annihilation of every Jew on earth.

“We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.” Sadly these words of Golda Meir seem particularly pertinent now more than ever as it is clear that they still hate us more than they love their children.

Israel is certainly not an Apartheid State…ironically Jews in Israel have even less rights than Whites in South Africa today.

But for those who want to demonize Israel ,using false allegation of Apartheid, they cannot,or should not be allowed, to use the lie of Apartheid against Israel and simultaneously and conveniently ignore
the following : Unless of course attacking Israel and Jews , is really about the continuation of the Ethnic Cleansing of Jews from the Middle East .

Currently there are less than 30,000 Arab Jews living in the Arab Middle East, which is aproximatley 4.5 million sq km in size. Aproximatley 1000,000 Arab Jews have been Ethnically Cleansed from the Arab Middle East. The Ethnic Cleansing began well before 1948 .

Israel by comparison is a paltry 20,000 sq km in size and there are 1.2 Million Arabs living as citizens in …”Apartheid Israel” ! That is to say there are more Arabs living in 20,000 sq km in a Jewish State accused of being Apartheid, than there are Jews living in 4.5 million sq km of Arab territory that is not being charged with being an Apartheid Arab Middle East ?

By todays standard the number of Arab Jews would , at minimum,be double the number it once was, or aprox 2000,000.Add how homes and other valuables ,worth Billions today ,were taken from Arab Jews without compensation or any “right of return ‘ for their descendants .

Gaza has no Jews left and the West Bank has aprox 300,000 Jews living among 3.2 Million Arabs ,Muslim and Christian.

About 9.2 % of the West Bank population is Jewish.

Coincidentally white Africans currently make up aproximately 9.2% (July 2006) of the total population in South Africa .

So out of the 5.2 Million people living in South Africa there are still aprox 500 000 White “citizens “living in Black South Africa - many own homes and businesses and practice the religion of their choice.

In South Africa,Blacks do not face a death penalty for selling their homes to Whites.
In Gaza and the West Bank Palestinians face a death penalty for selling any realestate to a Jew.

Based on the South African model of “Apartheid” Jews have every right to live in the West Bank,Gaza or in the Arab ,Middle East !

So the next time someone compares Israel to “South African Apartheid” ask them if it would be ok for Jews to live in the West Bank, Gaza or the Arab Middle East ,as does the current white population of South Africa ?

You might want to add how Whites did not precede the presence of Blacks in South Africa as Muslims or Palestinians did not precede the presence of Jews in Israel or Jerusalem.

It is convenient to use the charge of Apartheid to demonize Jews in Israel, but very inconvenient to apply the same standards that apply to South Africa when Israel bashers speak of “Israeli Apartheid”!

Tell that to Obama or Desmond Tutu…

While I agree that Hamas is a danger, I don’t agree with the methods that the military use to try to stop them or the Taliban. Innocent people are hurt or killed. While I agree that Israelis should have a homeland I don’t think that they should risk their citizens in trying to secure settlements. The British have historically always divided people to rule them.I believe they knew the reaction when they formed Israel. They aren’t good friends to have.Neither was the Bush admin. Prescott Bush used Czech Jews form camps in steel mills. He wasnt Schindler.I dont believe that groups who are advocate violence to create a homeland have the best interests of the Jewish people in mind.

  6. GINA RAHMAN Says:

Further, the approach that Simon Wiesenthal center has is slower than military but would change the mind of the people. The Muslims who hate Jews are in abject ignorance because they believe in Jewish conspiracy. Education works much better than aggression and would have lasting results of peacefulness and understanding.

  7. Gina Rahman Says:

I don’t think Hamas is the only problem. There have been elites in each country that was on the allied side who have been instigators in genocide both in world war two and since then in Africa and elsewhere.
    America:
There are two worlds here. Recently the Jewish Tribune had an article to remind people that it was America’s elites Rockefeller, Carnigie, Ford, IBM who were responsible for the Holocaust. I have read the book Hitler’s Pope and IBM and the Holocaust years after reading Arthur Millers play about the sabotage of munitions factories.
    Britain:
King Victor Emmanuel of Italy a relative of the Hapsburgs and so of the British monarchy used the Fascist armay to invade Ethiopia and declare himself Emperor exling king Haile Selassie and commiting genocide.
Mosley had a fascist movement in Britain. The Book and Movie REMAINS OF THE DAY is about Lord Darlington’s invlovement with the Nazi party along with other elites.
British along with the Dutch who have a related monarchy and Germans in South Africa are responsbile for Aparthied and genocide. The British massacred the Irish. They colonized the Scottish centuries ago. They commited genocide in India where I am from .
    France:
COCO Chanel one of the elite was a Nazi sympathizer.
    Italy:
Many Italians were sent to concentration camps.
    Belgium:
Belgian Missionaries are responsible according to Romeo Dallaire’s Shake Hands with Devil for brainwashing Africans in Rwanda to think one tribe was superior to the other so that they would kill them.

If the elites of these countries were all involved in genocide do you think Hamas is your biggest problem?

  8. GINA RAHMAN Says:

Thanks for publishing my comments again. I forgot the central argument I wanted to make. PLEASE consider this. I few months ago Simon Wiesenthal center news reprted that a known Nazi (who wanted to make his offices in France) ,Manfred Roeder, was behind the IRANIAN campaign against Israel and America. I am seriously saying that the white supremacists have an active conspiracy and in light of such news couldnt you believe that the entire Islam Vs Isreal is a a Nazi conspiracy. I am trying to show that white supremasist are behind fuelling the war between Jews and Muslims. I have always believed it and the news about Manfred Roeder confirmed my thoughts.
