OTTAWA – Four of the five parties with seats in the House of Commons have responded to B’nai Brith Canada’s 2025 Federal Election questionnaire, providing Jewish voters with insight into how each will respond to issues of concern for the community if they are chosen to form the next Government.
On April 28, voters will cast their ballots and determine the composition of Canada’s 45th Parliament. B’nai Brith Canada contacted the Liberal Party, the Conservative Party, the New Democratic Party (NDP), the Green Party and the Bloc Quebecois.
The NDP failed to submit a response.
The parties’ statements can be found on our website. Our Elections Centre contains various resources to assist voters, including details about registration and polling.
“We thank the four parties that took time from their busy campaign schedules to respond to our questionnaire,” said David Granovsky, B’nai Brith Canada’s Director of Government Relations. “These answers are important for all Canadians, especially Jewish Canadians, as the crisis of antisemitism is a major election issue. Voters ought to know how each party plans to address this alarming escalation in hate, which is highlighted in our most recent Annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents in Canada.”
B’nai Brith Canada has held two virtual debates for the 2025 election so far: in Eglington-Lawrence and York Centre, two Greater Toronto Area-ridings with large Jewish constituencies. The next virtual debate will take place April 24, featuring candidates from the riding of Richmond East-Steveston, in B.C.
