In May 2022, The Government of Canada failed to respond to the thousands of Canadians who signed a B’nai Brith petition to deport Khaled Barakat, a leader of the terrorist group, the PFLP and Charlotte Kates, leader of Samidoun, a PFLP front group. We are re-initiating this letter writing petition in light of the PFLP’s involvement in the Oct. 7th terror attacks in Israel.
It is more important than ever!

The Right Honorable Justin Trudeau,
Prime Minister of Canada.
We write to you today with extreme concern regarding the recent activities of the terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Canada.
As you know, since the end of 2019, PFLP leader Khaled Barakat has resided freely in Canada, despite laws forbidding members of terrorist entities from entering the country. No explanation has ever been provided for this state of affairs.
In addition, Barakat’s wife, Charlotte Kates, has made Canada the home base of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, a PFLP front group. Samidoun has even been allowed to register and enjoy the benefits of the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, despite being established for an illegal purpose, namely to further the cause of a banned terrorist entity.
Under your leadership, Canada has made various commitments to combat antisemitism and political extremism. Now is the time to make good on those promises. Every second wasted places Canadian Jews and Israelis in additional danger, for no justifiable reason.
We demand that the Government of Canada immediately:
1. Initiate proceedings to deport Khaled Barakat and Charlotte Kates; and
2. Dissolve Samidoun as a not-for-profit corporation.
The Canadian Jewish community, and all people of conscience, are expecting you will not let them down.
