Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Jewish Heritage Month on May 4th, 2023 at Earl Bales Community Centre from 7:30-9. We’re thrilled to present the inspiring and heart-warming film “Rescue in the Philippines”, which tells the incredible true story of the Frieder Brothers, and their efforts alongside President of the Philippines Manuel Quezon and Paul McNutt, the U.S. high commissioner of the Philippines to rescue over 1000 Jews from Europe during the Holocaust. This is a story that deserves to be told and remembered, a story where a group of individuals risked their own lives to do what was right.
